Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Hotel The Moon, operated by SRL Memon, handles personal data when you visit this website, book a stay or contact us.

Who is responsible

SRL Memon, operating Hotel The Moon, Rue de la Montagne 4-Bis, 1000 Brussels, Belgium, is the controller of the personal data it receives and processes to manage your stay. You can reach us at [email protected] or +32 2 414 49 14.

Online bookings

This website has no contact or booking form. The “Book” buttons take you to an external booking engine operated by SiteMinder (The Booking Button), where you enter your reservation details. SiteMinder’s own privacy terms apply on its platform. The reservation data is then transmitted to the hotel, which processes it to manage your booking and stay.

Data we process

Depending on your booking and stay: identification and contact details (such as name, email address, telephone number, address), reservation details (dates, number of guests, room, requests), payment-related information handled through the booking and payment providers, identity information required at check-in under applicable law, and the content of your messages when you email or call us.

Why we use it and legal bases

To manage your reservation, communicate with you about your stay, carry out check-in and process payment — necessary to perform our contract with you (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).

To meet legal obligations, such as guest registration, accounting and tax rules (art. 6(1)(c)).

Where applicable, for our legitimate interests, such as answering enquiries, ensuring the security of the hotel and handling claims (art. 6(1)(f)).

Who we share it with

Booking and payment providers involved in your reservation, such as SiteMinder and the relevant payment services; public authorities when required by law; and service providers acting on our behalf, only to the extent necessary. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, and for any longer period required by applicable law (for example accounting, tax or guest-registration obligations) or needed to establish or defend legal claims.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
